I've a windows server 2000 Domain Controller and DNS server with SP4. when i try to established a thord pary soft ware from client pc i recieve a error message.

Default WMI DNS problem in Windows server 2000

I've a windows server 2000 Domain Controller and DNS server with SP4.
when i try to established a thord pary soft ware from client pc i recieve a error message.
" An error occurred while determining the DNS configuration. Verify that the DNS server and the WMI DNS provider are available.
Note: This error can be ignored when using a non-microsoft DNS server"


But there is no problem if my Domain Controller and DNS in Windows server 2003.


plz help me to give info

It sounds like the dns service is not running. Have you checkeid to make sure it is?
